A non-cancerous tumor called a uterine fibroid develops inside and outside the uterus. It also goes by the name myoma. The uterus's muscular tissue gives rise to uterine fibroids. They could also develop in the cervix, fallopian tubes, or tissues close to the uterus. They can be as big as a melon or as little as you couldn't see them with the naked eye. There might be one or more fibroids. Treatment is not usually necessary for fibroids. Uterine fibroids can occasionally lead to difficulties. Although this is uncommon, large fibroids may impair the ability of a fertilized egg to implant in the womb or obstruct the fallopian tubes. Pregnant women with fibroids may potentially experience labor complications and, in rare instances, miscarriage. Uterine fibroids have no recognized etiology. However, the development of fibroids has been associated with the feminine hormone oestrogen. Fibroids often appear throughout a woman's reproductive years and may go away during menopause when oestrogen levels fall.
